My role at this event is mostly to see that the 5 video cameras catch the presentations and all this great content is archived at WordCamp.tv If you have an interest in WordPress then you should be checking this resource on a regular basis. the production quality is stinky but the content is high value and worth your time.

One surprising tip I’ve picked up is going to be unbelievable to some of you but it is this – don’t tag your posts. I have a good idea that this advice is valid and there’s a great reason for this but chances are you’ll think I’m full of hooey. I’m just putting it out here and not trying to sell it.

My presentation is tomorrow and will be about security and backup. I posted the slides at SlideShare.net and have received nearly 900 views on it today. THis is quite amazing and I can’t wait to see how many it will have tomorrow. It was chosen to be featured on the homepage of the site which is a thrill.

I’m posting it here since to make it simple to find. If you use WordPress you need to think about your backup plan.

WordCamp is totally Sold Out – and did so rather quickly. The size is perfect at about 300 people. The venue is excellent, as we learned at the last WordCamp, being held at the large HQ for Savannah College of Art and Design, aka SCAD!

The presentation is just about ready and I will be posting the whole thing sometime soon. There’ll be the presentation slides, the audio, and then the video, so that you interested WordPressers can learn what I have.

Speaking of video, that’s what I’d rather be doing right now. That’s more my bag than sitting here writing in the WP editor. Blah blah blah..That will just have to wait however as I am going through this new theme and really trying to make some fast progress. You may not be able to tell but this is a new “mobile responsive” eleven40 child theme on the Genesis platform. So far I think it’s the best ever.
